Experimental accuracy of tension-compression test with antibuckling plates

Measurement of stress-strain curves under tension-compression reverse loadings is crucially important for the understanding Bauschinger effect aluminum alloy sheets. Uniaxial compression sheet metals carried out with supporting flat plates, which clamp a specimen to prevent it from buckling. The forces generate thickness stress and friction forces. In present study, influence force on curve validity corrections these effects were investigated by using finite element analysis. It revealed that correction equivalent did not work appropriately.
